Festival of Christmas 2015

Blue Grass Farms Charities will hold its annual Festival of Christmas December 8 and 9, 2015 at the
Thoroughbred Training Center
. Over
906 individuals attended last year, 477 were children. Each child in attendance received a gift bag with two toys, books, hats and gloves an
d a treat bag. Each family received a food gift that consisted of a bag of fresh oranges, soup mixes, boxes of mac and cheese and a $20
Kroger
gift card. We had a total of 30 volunteers help with preparations and at the event, plus a special volunteer cookie brigade of 39. The holiday program consisted of
Lafayette Senior High School
orchestra playing holiday music and a puppet show presented by a community volunteer. Decorations were provided in part by
Helping Through Him Ministry
and Bruised Reed. Families attending came from throughout the area Thoroughbred industry, including
